Send at the right moment
Networks are saturated around midnight on 31 December, and a message sent at that instant can arrive very late. Mid-morning on 1 January is safer, and your message does not drown in the wave.
One personal sentence is enough
A generic wish is spotted instantly. Add a single reference to the person — a project they mentioned, a memory from the year — and the message changes character entirely.
