The training account scam

Here the rule is simple: all soliciting is illegal, so every message is suspect.

This message tells you your training entitlements are about to expire, or offers to "unlock" them before they are lost. This scam has one feature that makes it easier to settle than any of the others: since the law of 19 December 2022, commercial soliciting about the French personal training account has been banned outright. No legitimate message of this kind exists.

How this scam works

The fraudster is after your login credentials for the public service, and then wants your entitlements to pay for a fictitious or worthless course run by a complicit provider. Unlike the other frauds, you lose no money from your bank account: you lose entitlements you had earned, which is often noticed far too late. The expiry argument is false as well, since the entitlements are not subject to any such deadline.

How to recognise it

Simply receiving a commercial approach on the subject is enough: it has been illegal since 2022.
The message mentions your entitlements expiring soon, which matches no actual rule.
You are offered a way to "unlock" your entitlements or convert them into cash, which is not possible.
You are asked for your public-service login credentials, which nobody else has any business knowing.

What to do if you received this message

Ignore the message, without exception
Since soliciting is illegal, there is nothing to check: no approach of this kind can be legitimate.

Sign in by typing the address yourself, and confirm no training file has been opened without your knowledge.

These campaigns are large-scale, and reporting contributes directly to getting the numbers cut off.

Report it on the official service without delay: a file opened fraudulently can be challenged.

What you must never do

•Never give out your training-service login credentials, to anyone.
•Never accept an offer to convert your entitlements into cash: it is impossible, therefore fraudulent.
