My SMS was not sent

When sending fails at the form, the cause is almost always local: the number, the message content, or a confirmation already used. These are distinct from a message that left but never arrived, which has its own page.

The causes, from most to least common

   The number is not a valid French mobile

   The service only accepts ten-digit numbers starting with 06 or 07. A landline, an international format typed with +33, or one stray space is enough to fail validation.

   The message is empty after conversion

   Characters outside the GSM-7 alphabet are converted or removed before sending. A message made only of emoji or of a non-Latin alphabet can end up empty, and an empty message does not go out.

3. 3

   The confirmation has already been used

   Each confirmation is single-use. Reloading the page or clicking twice consumes the authorisation, and the second send is refused.

4. 4

   The gateway did not respond

   More rarely, the gateway is briefly unreachable. The form says so rather than claiming a successful send.

What to do

   Check the number format

   Ten digits, starting 06 or 07, with no spaces and no country code. Strip anything that came along from an address book.

   Check the message with the counter

   The character counter shows what your message becomes: if almost nothing is left after conversion, rewrite it in plain Latin characters.

   Start again from the form, without reloading

   Begin a new send from the home page rather than refreshing the confirmation page, which would void the authorisation.

   Try again a little later

   If the error persists across several attempts with a number you know is valid, the fault is on our side: the contact form is there to report it.
